Membership and tickets
The backbone of the Ludlow Music Society is its membership. In recent
years the Society has had about 200 members each year who support the
Society by subscribing to season tickets for the season’s concerts at
reduced rates.
The cost of attending all 4 of the Society’s concerts in the Society’s
main season would be £54 at the normal single ticket price (£13.50 per
concert). Anyone joining the Society (by buying a 4-concert season
ticket) attends the concerts for £37 (or £9.25 per concert). The
membership rate is reduced further to £35 (or £8.75 per concert) if a
subscription is applied for before 31 July. The subscription price of
the Young Artist's Concert is £5, which is a £2.50 saving on the single
ticket price.
Members of the Society can also receive a £1 reduction in single ticket
prices for some concert listed in Making Music West Midlands Chamber
Music Choice. This concession exists because of the Society’s membership
of Making Music.
Members’ children under the age of 16 may attend concerts free of
charge. Student and child tickets are £3.
Applying for membership
If your name and address are on the Society’s mailing list, you will
receive a brochure each year, which contains an application form for the
following season. If you have not received a brochure or wish to have
your name added to the mailing list please e-mail James Caird at
james@caird.org.uk or at the address given on the contacts page.
The Society is always happy to hear of people who you think might wish
to become members of the Society. Please notify the Hon. Secretary or
any Committee member.
